AlShaqra Grade 9 Camp
The AlShaqra dunes provided the venue for the recent 9th Grade camp.
Organised by Grade 12 students – Abdullah AlMunifi and Mohammed AlKredis – as part of their CAS requirement, students stayed overnight in small tents and a three-masted Bedouin tent. The camp served a variety of purposes: independence, community building, teamwork and synergy, and physical fitness through hiking and climbing.
The Senior students, ably assisted by their guests, prepared traditional meals, like Kubsa, for lunch and dinner. An unexpected highlight was an unplanned visit from a herd of local camels.
